How to run an .exe from ReaScript?

I'd like to run Licecap from within Reaper... so far this Python script didn't work out... Code:

I have a feeling you need at least one call to an RPR_ function in a script for it to work. Can't test my theory though at the moment. Try creating a msg function which calls RPR_ShowConsoleMsg. You don't have to use it.

use subprocess.Popen(Licecaplocation) so it doesn't wait for licecap to exit
